The website that Ad Ventures Design & Marketing designed for the Master Builders Association (MBA) of King & Snohomish Counties has won the Association Excellence Award in the Communications category for best website.MasterBuildersInfo.com was recognized with this award in April 2013 by the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Assigned website redesign objectives were to streamline the website with a better user experience for members and to increase repeat and new member sales.
In order to develop a strategy to accomplish this, Ad Ventures marketing consultants conducted over 27 off-site interviews with internal management, external member companies and stakeholders. A plan was then identified for the site to primarily target consumers and become more of a recognized resource to connect consumers with construction trade companies that were practicing members of the MBA because of the well-deserved belief that MBA members adhered to a higher standard of quality and integrity.
Visually, the MBA home page targets three audiences in equal importance: members, consumers, and community so as to relay equal importance to all three groups. But the foundation of the site primarily targets the consumer audience in order to increase traffic and leads for association members, ultimately increasing new membership sales. A section of the large, comprehensive website targets members where they can access calendar events and their membership information.
Ad Ventures provided the strategic marketing analysis, and created the new look and feel, which included a simple, intuitive navigation structure. Ad Ventures also provided concept development, home page positioning and headlines, design, content and navigation planning, interactive design, and front-end development. Master Builder’s Association provided interior page copywriting and back-end development. The site was designed in 2011 and Master Builders Association adds new, meaningful content to the site on a regular basis.
